EVz publishes under a collective byline, by choice. You will find no invented editor personas here, no stock-photo experts, no padded credentials - that is the exact fake-authorship pattern an honest data site exists to counter. What you will find instead is a verifiable record: every figure sourced and dated, every formula published, every correction public. This page is that record, computed live from the site itself as of July 2026.
The receipts
The standards we work to
- Claimed is never presented as tested. ARAI and IDC figures are labelled claims everywhere; a tested figure exists only when an independent, instrumented test does. When our provenance audit found a tested figure that traced to the wrong vehicle generation, we removed it and said so publicly - even though it was our most-quoted statistic.
- Absence over misattribution. If we cannot point at the real source of a figure, the source field stays blank rather than pointing somewhere plausible. The open dataset ships under the same rule.
- Formulas are published, not vibes. The EVz Score has no opinion component and its full formula is public; break-even maths only compares vehicles a buyer would genuinely cross-shop; lapsed subsidy schemes compute as zero so we never promise vanished money.
- Freshness is data-derived. Page dates come from when the data actually changed, never from when the page was rebuilt.
- Community data stays in its lane. Owner reports and Owner Connect answers are human-moderated, clearly labelled owner-reported, and never blended into tested figures or the Score.
- Privacy is architecture, not a policy page. Contact details never change hands in Owner Connect; consent is recorded with its purpose at submission; published text is machine-checked to contain no emails or phone numbers.
What we refuse to do
- No invented authors, personas or credentials - ever.
- No pay-for-placement, sponsored rankings or affiliate-biased scores.
- No fabricated figures: no estimated "real-world range" dressed as tested, no invented resale percentages, no fake ratings in structured data.
- No scraped-and-stale republishing: figures carry their source and date or they do not ship.
- No dark patterns around your data: forms state their purpose, and withdrawal works as described in the privacy policy.

How is EVz funded, and does money influence rankings?
EVz is independent and carries no brand sponsorships. Rankings and the EVz Score are computed from published formulas with no paid inputs; affiliate and lead features, where they exist, are disclosed and never touch how a model ranks. The editorial and affiliate policy spells this out.
What happens when EVz gets something wrong?
It goes on the public corrections log with a date and a plain-language description - 8 corrections published so far, including removing our own most-quoted statistic when a provenance audit found it traced to the wrong vehicle generation. Corrections are a feature of honest publishing, not an embarrassment.
