This policy explains what personal data EVz collects when you ask us for a price or to be contacted about an electric vehicle, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.

What we collect

Only what you submit in a request form: your name, city, and phone number (and email if you provide one), plus the model you enquired about and the answers you gave our EV Advisor if you used it. We do not store your raw IP address; we keep only a one-way hashed value to prevent abuse.

Why we collect it (purpose)

Solely to respond to your enquiry: to contact you about that vehicle and, with your consent, to share your details with a relevant EV brand or dealer so they can give you a price or arrange a test drive. For Owner Connect, purposes are narrower still: an enrolled owner's email is used only to relay buyer questions, and a question-asker's email only to notify them of the published answer. Range and owner reports use an optional email only if we need to check a detail with you. We do not use any of it for anything else, and we do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

EVz receives your request first. With your consent, we pass it to a relevant brand or dealer matched to the vehicle you enquired about. Until that match is made the recipient is recorded as EVz. Owner Connect never shares contact details in either direction: buyers see only an owner's display name; owners receive the question text, never the asker's email.

How long we keep it

We retain a lead for up to 12 months after your enquiry (or until you ask us to delete it), after which it is deleted or anonymised. Owner Connect enrollments are kept while you remain in the directory and removed when you withdraw; a question-asker's email is deleted once the answer notification is sent; rejected submissions follow the same 12-month cap.

Your rights and withdrawing consent

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing [email protected]. We will action verified requests promptly.
